Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of downvideo.app and its tools. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using it. Questions can be sent to [email protected].

downvideo.app provides online tools for downloading and converting supported public media, extracting available captions and playlist information, generating citations, and related tasks. Features, supported platforms, formats, limits, and availability may change. We do not guarantee that every source link can be processed or that a result will match a particular quality or purpose.

You must be legally able to agree to these terms, or have the authorization required by applicable law. Provide accurate information, protect your browser session, and review outputs before using them. You are responsible for your submitted links, settings, and use of the resulting files or information.

downvideo.app provides technical capabilities to process the content you choose. We do not claim copyright or other ownership rights in third-party videos, audio, images, captions, or other source content, and providing a download or conversion result does not grant you a license to use it. Those rights remain with the relevant rights holders.

Only process content you own, are authorized to use, or may lawfully use. Public availability does not grant permission to download, copy, edit, distribute, or publish content. You must comply with applicable law, the source platform’s terms, and the rights of creators and other rights holders. Personal or educational use is not automatically lawful in every situation.

You independently choose the links you submit and decide whether and how to download, convert, save, or use the results. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permission and, to the extent provided by applicable law, for claims, losses, or legal consequences arising from your unauthorized or unlawful use. This allocation of responsibility does not exclude any obligations or liability that downvideo.app cannot lawfully exclude.

The service does not grant ownership of third-party content. Batch and playlist tools are subject to the same requirements for each item. Do not use the service to bypass access restrictions, paywalls, digital rights management, or other protections.

Do not use the service for unlawful activity, infringement, harassment, or distribution of malicious material. Do not attack the service, interfere with other users, evade verification or rate limits, access another user’s tasks, or attempt to obtain private files or credentials. Automated use must respect the supported interfaces and applicable limits.

Processing depends on the source platform, queue capacity, security checks, and technical limits. Tasks can fail, be canceled, or expire. Completed download files are generally available for 24 hours and require the authorized browser session. Save your files promptly; downvideo.app is not a permanent storage or backup service.

Conversion cannot recover details absent from the source, and compatibility varies by format and player. Captions and extracted metadata may contain errors. Citation outputs must be checked against your source, the relevant style guide, and your institution’s requirements.

The downvideo.app website, branding, and original interface content belong to their respective owners. Third-party media, names, and trademarks remain the property of their owners. downvideo.app is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube, Google, or the other platforms referenced by its tools. External links and services are governed by their own terms.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available, without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or successful processing. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses arising from unavailable sources, failed processing, lost files, third-party services, or your use of outputs. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We may restrict or suspend access to protect the service, comply with law, or respond to violations. We may change or discontinue features and update these terms. The current version and update date appear here; material changes will be communicated where required by law. Stop using the service if you do not agree with updated terms.

Contact [email protected] for service questions or rights concerns. These terms do not limit rights or remedies available to you under applicable law.
