Privacy Policy

This policy explains how downvideo.app processes information when you use our website, tools, and support services. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

downvideo.app provides technical tools for downloading, converting, and processing media at your request. We do not claim copyright or other ownership rights in third-party videos or other source content. Processing a link or temporarily storing a file does not grant a copyright license or confirm that you have permission to use the content. You choose the content independently and are responsible for confirming your rights and for your use of the results, subject to applicable law. See our Terms of Service for the requirements governing content use.

When you use a tool, we process the links, output settings, and other details you submit to provide the result. Download tasks may include source titles, metadata, progress, errors, and generated files. Citation tools process the source details you enter; some formatting happens directly in your browser.

We also process anonymous session identifiers and technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as IP addresses, browser and device information, request timestamps, and diagnostic logs. If you contact us, we process your name, email address, subject, and message. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information.

We use information to process tool requests, deliver files, keep tasks associated with your browser session, respond to support requests, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and understand how the website is used. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing may be necessary to provide the service you request, meet legal obligations, or pursue legitimate interests in security and service improvement; consent is used where required.

An essential anonymous session cookie normally lasts 24 hours and helps authorize access to your tasks and files. Browser storage may remember preferences such as your language. Deleting cookies or switching browsers can remove access to tasks associated with the previous session.

Our production website uses Google Analytics to measure visits and tool usage. It may use cookies and process device, browser, and usage information. Our custom download event does not include submitted video URLs, video titles, session identifiers, or authorization tokens. You can control cookies through your browser and use Google’s analytics opt-out tools. Blocking essential cookies may affect the service.

Hosting, database, file storage, security, analytics, and email providers process information needed to perform their roles. Security verification uses Cloudflare Turnstile; analytics uses Google Analytics. The contact form is currently unavailable and does not submit or collect information entered in it. If you email [email protected] directly, our email provider processes that correspondence. Source platforms receive requests needed to retrieve the content you ask us to process.

We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect rights, safety, or the service. External websites have their own privacy policies. Providers may process information in countries other than your own; protections and any required transfer safeguards depend on the provider and applicable law.

Completed download files are generally available for 24 hours, after which they expire and are scheduled for cleanup. Expiry of a file link does not mean that all task records, logs, provider records, or backups are immediately deleted. We retain those records and support records and correspondence as needed for operations, security, resolving requests, and legal obligations.

We use access controls and session authorization to protect files and operational data. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your browser session and downloaded copies secure, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, request portability, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy regulator. Send requests to [email protected]. We may need sufficient information to verify your request; anonymous sessions can limit our ability to identify particular records. Some information may need to be retained for legal or security reasons.

The service is not directed at children below the minimum age permitted by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information without the required authorization, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

We may update this policy as our services or requirements change. The current version and update date are shown on this page. For questions about this policy or our handling of information, email [email protected].
